We have a 72 lb great danoodle, and this leash has been great for him. We’ve been using it for over a year with no problems. The locking part works great, it’s not too heavy, and it’s easy to clip on/take off. It’s hit the ground a few times and still been fine afterwards. I did some research on brands before buying, and this one lives up to the reviews.

It’s been hard to find a leash that can extend far and not pull my 12 lb rat terrier so hard. This is the perfect balance of letting him be able to explore from me at a safe distance, when it’s ok to do so, and not make him strain and fight against the automatic retractable leash. We were using a different one that was unknowingly rated for a bigger dog and it was too strong of a pull for my little guy. Great size, good quality, love that we can add poo bags in the older, and easy to lock/hold with the thumb button. My 7 year old can easily use it too. Highly recommend.

I purchased the XS retractable leash for my 10 lb Papillion/Dachshund mix. The quality is good, price was great & the pink color is really cute.
The Pros: It’s compact, lite weight, & durable. It uses a round leash line, instead of the flat ribbon version. The ribbon version twists & gets caught up when it reels back in. The round version works much smoother & never binds up.
The Cons: The length of the leash line is about 5-6 feet. Not much longer then a standard nylon leash. Which kinda of negates the purpose of using a retractable leash.
Secondly, it’s soo small that I can only fit three fingers into the handle grip, instead of all four which gives you a better more comfortable grip.
The first time I used this leash was quite traumatic. Luckily we just left the house & were in my front yard, plus we didn’t expect the line to be so short. As soon as she ran out & the leash extended out its total 6 feet it jerked her back & because neither of us expected that she kept running & snatched the leash right out of my uncomfortable three finger grip. The leash hit the ground, retracted itself along the ride & flew up & hit her in the butt. Luckily she stopped but was standing like a deer in the middle of the road. I was able to approach her & scoop her up before any cars came along. Luckily a happy ending. My dog is a rescue dog & unfortunately she had a long, abusive life before coming to live with me. So these lil normal events to most are fearful reminders of her past.
Needless to say I returned this leash, got a full refund & learned some valuable lessons. Read product descriptions thoroughly & test everything out before using it on her.
Overall this is a good product. If you have a teeny tiny dog that you want on a short leash & you have tiny hands.

I am a slacker when it comes to leaving reviews but ironically depend on them a lot when making purchases. I’ll leave a review when something is really good or really bad, lol. This leash falls into the category of EXCELLENT!
Firstly I love the design of the leash. Simple, durable, and the button stops him in his tracks with ease. That’s one of the first things that I noticed and really liked about this leash was how sensitive the stop button seem to be. Sensitive in a good way with a firm and reliable ability to halt my little psychopath when perhaps he’s gotten a little too ahead of me.
The second thing that I love the most about this leash is the length. I live in a condo with plenty of public area to walk my chihuahua. He loves to burst out into a sudden run at times, and this leash allows for it which is great! I’ve included a photo of him run-jumping through the air on his new leash and it cracks me up every time I look at it lol. He was having a VERY good time…
All in all this leash is exactly what I wanted. Obviously as far as longevity goes or if it gets stretched out and tangled after 10 uses, I cannot speak to. But so far, it’s the BEST retractable leash that I’ve ever owned.
I purchased the medium size with the longer cord length of the two options. For my 7 pound, 7 month old chihuahua, it’s a 10/10 purchase and I recommend it 100%.
